Eating Out Recommendations
El Palo and Pedregalejo are famous for Chiringuitos offering ‘espetos’ (sardines) cooked on skewers on olive-wood fuelled barbeques built in small ‘espetos boats’ on the beach. There are so many to choose from all along this 3km stretch of beach so you wont go hungry, and offering various kinds of fish including sea bream, turbot, red sea bream, grouper, megrim sole, sea bass, pinta bream, red mullet, mackerel or gilt-head bream !
El Tintero (650m). The ‘plate auction’ restaurant offers a unique Spanish sea food experience. Made famous recently in the ITV series Road Trip with Gordon, Gino & Fred. Website.
Makian Beach (500m). For a great breakfast why not try Makian Beach. Lunch and dinner also served (International with a Spanish twist)
Al Sur (500m). For a great coffee and traditional Spanish breakfast try this beach front chiringuito.
Er Pichi de Cai (750m). For some different sea food try this very local restaurant in El Palo. Website.
20 de Abril (800m). One of our favourite local tapas bars with a great selection of wine.
